Flock of Doves
When someone says ‘Doves’ they think of beautiful white birds with pure snow wings and soft coos, symbols of peace and love. They don’t think of the dirty grey things that scavenge sidewalks, ‘rock doves,’ pigeons, disease carrying flying rodents. The last thing they think of is private warfare for hire. That’s what the Flock of Doves is. Wildlings, they were called once, creatures that descended from the skies one day and cleaved from their royal flocks. They’ve been warriors and isolated since before humans hung crosses and called their names. As mercenaries, they’re a dollar away from killing anything with a target painted on them, until they find Niala.
